    FRP chain guide

    Hello all-

Just got an FRP chain guide in the mail yesterday. The installation instructions are cryptic to say the least. Does anyone have a pic of one installed on their bike that they can post? It would be a great help. Thanks

    Mike

    Re: FRP chain guide

Did you get it installed ? I have the FRP wide chain block for the oring chain on my bike. I dont have a way to put a picture up right now. Install the lower bolts and lower guide with the bolts snug and facing the nuts on the side with the wheel. Place the thin washers between the chain block assembly and the swing arm and the alignment should be good. Mount the assembly in the forward most position. These directions are pretty vague, but it might help. Without pictures in the FRP instructions it seems tricky but its a pretty easy deal. Let me know if you still need help.

    Re: FRP chain guide

    Thanks KDXNTEXN,

I managed to get it installed this afternoon. I was confused about the thick and thin spacers. I thought all the parts had to be used somewhere.

I ended up using the thick spacers because the chain rubbed the guide. Even with the thick spacers the chain just barely 'kissed' the inside of the guide wall. So I used two thin washers between the inside of the guide wall and white plastic block. Then everything worked perfectly and I was stoked. I think I'll post some pics here in case anyone down the road runs into the same problem. Thanks again Bro.

    Mike
